Kourtney Betts
holds a BA in Biology and Anthropology, and an MA in Science Education
from the University of Colorado at Boulder. Kourtney also completed a
200hr RYT, and 250hr CYT from the Rocky Mountain Institute of Yoga and
Ayurveda. She currently works as the Registration Coordinator for Yoga
Journal, and is in the midst of completing a 1500hr
Ayurvedic Practitioner program with the Alandi Ashram in Boulder.
Nancy Candea is a Certified
Yoga Therapist, an experienced Registered Yoga Teacher, and the owner
of Boundless Yoga Center LLC* and the mother of two young adults. Her
personal approach to yoga is the product of twenty-seven years of her
own proactice and fourteen years of teaching in Minnesota, California,
Hawaii and Colorado. She has trained with many senior
level teachers in the Ashtanga, Anusara, Iyengar and
Structural Integration styles of yoga. She has taught yoga not only in
studio settings, but also to under served
populations in schools, senior residences, at risk youth and more
recently shelters and jails.
Nancy worked as a dance professional for 26 years. During that time she
created a yoga-based dance curriculum for children and adults, directed
yoga based performing arts and arts and science camps for children,
directed Beyond Dance Theater, a youth-based modern dance company and
co-directed The Baha’i Youth Workshop, a youth-based dance company that
danced about global and social issues. Nancy directed and choreographed
fund-raising dance concerts for environmental and social issues that
were performed by a combination of professional and amateur dancers.
Her work was supported by the New Moon Fund, State Foundation on
Culture and the Arts, The Earl and Doris Bakken Foundation, the GN
Wilcox Fund, the Laura Jane Musser Fund, the George P and Ida T Castle
Trust.
